Wrong choices  vs  Right Choices

Please understand that as I wrote this title I began to reconsider… I only chose to leave it to attract the reader and to share a lesson I am learning. Part of the lesson here is that I have begun to look at wrong and right differently now… instead I sometimes choose to qualify them as truth and error or positive and negative, because the results of choosing one or the other are usually exactly in alignment with the word and it’s meaning.

Everything has an opposite or in other words – There is opposition in all things.

It doesn’t mean that all negative choices ultimately lead to negative results… sometimes a negative or incorrect choice can be an experience or lesson perfectly suited to our individual journey, which may in the long run,  be of benefit to our understanding. I can also say that some positive choices sometimes feel heartbreaking or difficult. What I have come to know lessons can be learned both ways…. either  through succumbing to temptation and error or through choosing obedience and truth.

Negative choices are often the easiest to make in the moment, but the hardest to live with in the long run.  Why?

A wrong choice is always an experience for learning. It’s sometimes a way to determine and understand what is a more direct or correct choice of action, It can also be a choice of ignorance (lack of knowledge)  or willfulness ( knowing it’s wrong but doing it anyway). The interesting thing about humans is that many times,  we choose to experience the consequences of our poor choices rather than listening, learning and trusting in the experiential evidences from another human. Some lessons are learned and some must be experienced.

Positive Choices are sometimes the hardest to make in the moment, but the easiest to live with in the long run. Why?

Right choices sometimes feel restrictive at first, but the truth is that they allow us to have more choices and more personal power.  The way I determine right from wrong is to focus on the truth of the matter. I ask myself,” Is this truth? What will the result be now and in the future? I determine truth by several things; I pay attention to how I feel physically , emotionally and mentally. I listen to my inner voice, my own spirit and the Holy Spirit, to determine truthful thoughts and actions that are in alignment with who I am, with humanity and  with my relationship with God. Our agency remains free and open when we choose truth.

I know God loves all of mankind and accepts us for who we are ,  yet I also understand that God has a standard. If this were not true , there would be no such thing as right and wrong, truth and error or any other opposition.

YOU are not here on earth to fail. YOU are here to have success! I personally quantify success as true inner peace and lasting JOY! It’s not something achieved  in a moment, in an evening or found in things outside of us. Success is something we acquire and accumulate with every truthful choice that distills peace upon our souls. The greatest rewards in life come from mastering our bodies and minds through recognition of the truth of our spirit. This is where we find happiness.
